It is a sandy beach. It can be affected by the Summer north winds.
The beach has facilities for food and drink, swimming, sunbathing and sea sports.

Location:
The beach of Fodele is situated 3 kilometres from the village and only a short distance from the National Road. It is easily accessed from Heraklion or Rethymno by a public bus service which runs regularly.
If driving yourself, you can also reach the beach along the old National Road which offers views of the coast.
