By Ferry

There are several companies providing ferry services between Italy (Ancona, Venice, etc.) and Northern Greece (Piraeus, Athens) to Crete including Anek Lines and Minoan Lines. The primary ports are Heraklion, Chania and Rethymno. Ferry services also operate to Sitia, Agios Nikolaos and Kissamos. Many ferry services operate all year round while some provide a Summer service only. The ferries include both vehicle and passenger ferries.
