Fodele

Information about Fodele

Fodele village is famous as the birthplace of the artist, El Greco.

The village is beautifully situated in a wooded area a little way inland from the coast and its beach. There are lovely walks through the village along the stream underneath large Plane trees.

The village has facilities for food and drink and there are small local shops selling locally made crafts.

Domenicos Theotokopoulos (El Greco) has a museum about his life in the village.
