Geropotamos BeachInformation about Geropotamos Beach
Geropotamos Beach is small and picturesque with sand and pebbles, and named after the river which borders it.
It lies just below the Geropotamos Bridge, within easy reach of the national road.
The beach has facilities for sunbathing, swimming and some seasports. Food and drink is available on the beach and accommodation is nearby.
The beach can be affected by the Summer north winds. There is no lifeguard service here so exercise discretion regarding swimming depending on the sea conditions.
It is only 20 kilometres from Rethymnon, a drive of about 20 minutes.
Location:
Geropotamos Beach is easily accessed from Rethymno by public buses which run frequently between Rethymno and Heraklion.
