Glaros BeachInformation about Glaros Beach
Kalamaki beach/Glaros Beach is a long sandy beach of 900m in length.
The beach is easily accessed from the accommodation. The local flora includes Sea Pine, Oleander, Palms and the rare and protected Sea Lily (Pancratium maritimum) which grows on the sand dunes. Please respect the cordoned off areas in which the plants grow by not entering them.
The Municipality of Nea Kydonia organises an annual environmental programme including beach clean ups, recycling and cycling information, and educational workshops on the Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta).
The beach has been awarded Blue Flag status.
