Stalos BeachInformation about Stalos Beach
Stalos beach is a long sandy beach at the village of Stalos and adjacent to Kalamaki/Glaros beach.
The beach extends to 2000m in length.
The local flora includes Sea Pine, Palms and the rare and protected Sea Lily (Pancratium maritimum) which grows on the sane dunes. Please respect the cordoned off areas in which the plants grow by not entering them.
The Municipality of Nea Kydonia organises an annual environmental programme including beach clean ups, recycling and cycling information, and educational workshops on the Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta).
The beach has been awarded Blue Flag status.
